Brain implants and other surgical procedures are also available for patients whose depression cannot be treated by any of the treatments mentioned above. Because a lack of social support can cause depression, it is important to stay connected to the positive influences in your life. Many patients find that working with medical professionals, finding the right therapy, and staying positive is the best way to overcome their depression.
